Description
SEFUROX TABLETS
SEFUROX, a brand of cefuroxime axetil, is a cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for treatment of susceptible infections of respiratory tract, uncomplicated urinary tract and skin and soft tissue infections, uncomplicated gonorrhoea and early Lyme disease.
The bactericidal activity of cefuroxime (SEFUROX) results from its inhibitory action on cell wall synthesis as a consequence of binding to essential target proteins.
Composition
Each film coated tablet of SEFUROX 250 contains:
Cefuroxime Axetil (Amorphous) USP
Equivalent to Cefuroxime ….. 250 mg
Each film coated tablet of SEFUROX 500 contains:
Cefuroxime Axetil (Amorphous) USP
Equivalent to Cefuroxime ….. 500 mg
