KEFOTEX
Kefotex (Cefotaxime Sodium) Injection is a semi synthetic Cephalosporin antibiotic with wide spectrum of activity. It comes in a sterile injection form for intravenous and intramuscular use.
Composition
Each vial of Kefotex 250/ 500/ 1 g contains –
- Cefotaxime Sodium USP
Equivalent to Cefotaxime…250/ 500/ 1000 mg
Indications
Kefotex is a third-generation parenteral cephalosporin indicated for susceptible pathogens causing:
- Lower respiratory tract infections
- Genitourinary infections
- Gynecological infection
- Bacteraemia & Septicemia
- Bone and joint infections
- Skin & Skin structure infections
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Bone & Joint infections
- Central nervous system infections like Meningitis
- Surgical prophylaxis
- Colorectal Resections
