PROXIME
PROXIME is a brand of Cefpodoxime Proxetil, 3rd generation cephalosporin. PROXIME is indicated for treatment of susceptible infections of respiratory and urinary tracts, skin and soft tissue infections and gonorrhea.
Composition
Each film coated tablet of PROXIME 200 contains:
Cefpodoxime Proxetil
Equivalent to Cefpodoxime ………………………… 200 mg
Each uncoated tablet of PROXIME 100 contains:
Cefpodoxime Proxetil
Equivalent to Cefpodoxime ………………………… 100 mg
Each 5 ml of reconstituted PROXIME Suspension contains:
Cefpodoxime Proxetil
Equivalent to Cefpodoxime ………………………… 50 mg
Indications:
PROXIME is indicated for treatment of susceptible infections of respiratory and urinary tracts, skin and soft tissue infections, gonorrhea. It can also be advocated for susceptible infections involving any other system or organ.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
For Proxime dry syrup: Direction for reconstitution:
Shake the bottle to loosen the powder. Remove the cap. Add pre-boiled and cooled water up to the mark and shake well to form suspension. Reconstituted suspension will provide 50 mg / 5 ml. After reconstitution, store suspension between 2º – 8º C (36 – 46 º F), in a refrigerator.
SHAKE WELL BEFORE EACH USE.
Replace cap securely after each opening. Discard after 7 days.

PROXIME 200 Tablets: Strips of 10s.
PROXIME Dry Syrup: Bottles – 60 ml.
SHELF LIFE
PROXIME 100 / PROXIME 200 2 years from date of manufacturing. PROXIME Dry Syrup: Before reconstitution (Dry Powder): 2 years from date of manufacturing. After reconstitution (Reconstituted Suspension): Use reconstituted suspension within 7 days.
STORAGE
For PROXIME 100 / PROXIME 200
Store below 30°C. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
For PROXIME Dry Syrup
Before reconstitution (Dry Powder): 2 years from date of manufacturing. After reconstitution (Reconstituted Suspension): Use reconstituted suspension within 7 days.
