Bacperazone
Bacperazone is a combination of Cefoperazone with a β-lactamase inhibitor, Sulbactam.
Bacperazone has an extended spectrum of activity as compared to 1st & 2nd generation Cephalosporins. Bacperazone is a preferred drug in mixed infections with suspected Pseudomonas and also offers empiric therapy for life-threatening infections, difficult to treat infections and resistant infections.
Composition
Dry Powder for Injection – Each vial of Bacperazone contains –
- Cefoperazone Sodium USP
- Equivalent to Cefoperazone ….250 mg / 500 mg / 1000 mg
- Sulbactam Sodium USP
- Equivalent to Sulbactam …250 mg / 500 mg / 1000 mg

Bacperazone is indicated for susceptible pathogens causing :
- Lower respiratory tract infections
- Genitourinary infections
- Gynecological infection
- Bacteraemia & Septicemia
- Bone and joint infections
- Skin & Skin structure infections
