Azicin

AZICIN is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. This includes middle ear infections, strep throat, pneumonia, traveler’s diarrhea and certain other intestinal infections.

AZICIN

AZICIN a brand of Azithromycin belongs to a class of drugs called macrolide-type antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Azithromycin is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA.

Composition

Each film coated tablet of AZICIN 250 contains:
Azithromycin Dihydrate USP
Equivalent to Azithromycin Anhydrous ….. 250 mg

Each film coated tablet of AZICIN 500 contains:
Azithromycin Dihydrate USP
Equivalent to Azithromycin Anhydrous ….. 500 mg

Indications:

AZICIN is indicated for treatment of bacterial infections for the following bacterial infections induced by microorganisms susceptible to azithromycin:

  • Infections of the lower respiratory tract: acute: bronchitis and mild to moderate community-acquired pneumonia
  • Infections of the upper respiratory tract: sinusitis and pharyngitis/tonsillitis
  • Acute otitis media.
  • Infections of the skin and soft tissue of mild to moderate severity e.g. folliculitis, cellulitis, erysipelas
  • Uncomplicated Chlamydia trachomatis urethritis and cervicitis

AZICIN 500 : Blister of 10 tablets

STORAGE:
Store below 30ºC. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.

SHELF LIFE: 2 years from the date of manufacturing.
